Other Garden Paving
This section looks at the materials less commonly seen for garden paving, the weird, the wonderful and the WTF! While shredded bark and reclaimed timber sleepers may not be revolutionary, they do require careful preparation to get the best from them, and then there’s all the things that really are ‘out there’!
Bark Paths and Play Areas
Not usually considered as a paving material, shredded bark can be used to form paths where a very informal look is required. Other applications are severely restricted as bark can only provide a surface dressing, not any form of structural load-bearing capability.
Decorative Garden Paving
While most of this site deals with standard paving types, there are some highly decorative forms of paving that are really only suitable for use in the garden. Some of these are considered on this page.
