Sealant Trials - Pavetuf Invisible

Summary:

Application:

1st coat: Thin, clear liquid that is rapidly absorbed

2nd coat: Wont adhere just runs straight off without taking

Comments:

It says it's invisible and these trials certainly support that!

It takes a few weeks to completely disappear, when comparing it to the untreated section, but by Spring, it's completely impossible to locate it.

Maybe it has been fotunate but this particular sample never showed any sign of greening or becoming dirty, but was that because of the product or just good luck?

Stain Trials:

stain application — Application of stains

stain after 4 hrs — Stains after 4 hours

wash off stain — Wash off stain with proprietary cleaner after 24 hrs

apply mosskiller — Apply mosskiller after wash-off

stain after cleaning — Stain 48 hrs after washing-off mosskiller and cleaning with proprietary cleaner

Comments:

What can be said? There is no stain protection with this product, it would seem.

Oil, fat, ink, wine and mosskiller, all are very evident on the sample piece, so you have to wonder just what this product has actually provided.

Very disappointing result.

Note: Any apparent variation in colour of the flagstone is due solely to changes in the condition of the natural daylight at the time the photograph was taken.

Other than cropping to exclude extraneous background and adding a drop shadow to the cropped image, there has been NO post-processing of the original photographs.
